The Assistant Manager – Steel Bright Bar is responsible for managing day-to-day production operations in the bright bar manufacturing unit. The role focuses on achieving production targets, ensuring product quality, maintaining equipment efficiency, controlling costs, and leading the production team while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and monitor daily bright bar production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and minimizing downtime.
- Oversee bright bar processes such as cold drawing, peeling, straightening, grinding, polishing, chamfering, cutting, and inspection.
- Monitor production parameters and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce scrap.
- Coordinate with quality, maintenance, planning, and dispatch departments to ensure smooth operations.




- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO standards, and quality procedures.
- Lead and mentor supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor operators.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production and quality issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and 5S standards.
- Prepare production reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and present performance updates to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and cost reduction projects.
