Role Description
The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer activities across programs and initiatives. This position oversees volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing communication to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and engaged. The coordinator will develop and deliver training materials, provide guidance to volunteers, and track participation and performance. Daily tasks include responding to volunteer inquiries, maintaining accurate records in volunteer management systems, collaborating with staff to identify volunteer needs, and promoting opportunities through online channels and community networks. The role also involves evaluating volunteer feedback and contributing to continuous improvement of volunteer experiences and processes.

- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple volunteer schedules, tasks, and priorities in a remote environment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with basic office software and online collaboration tools to manage volunteer records, communication, and reporting.
- Prior experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work, or community programs is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate cultural competence when engaging with volunteers from varied backgrounds.
