Conduct safety testing of household and similar electrical appliances in accordance with IS 302-1 / IEC 60335-1 and relevant Part-2 standards.
Conduct performance & safety testing as per relevant Indian and International Standards for products such as:
Electric Irons
Storage Water Heaters
Instant Water Heaters
Microwave Ovens
Electric Fans
Kitchen Appliances
Vacuum Cleaners
Washing Machines
Room Heaters and Similar Appliances
Refrigeration Appliances
Prepare and review test plans, test setups, test observations, and technical reports.
Maintain accurate test records, raw data, calculations, and supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory quality management requirements.
Verify calibration status of test equipment and maintain calibration records.
Participate in internal audits, NABL assessments, BIS audits, CBTL audits, and customer assessments.
Review product standards, amendments, and regulatory requirements.
Investigate non-conformities,
implement corrective actions, and maintain related records.
Support method validation, uncertainty evaluation, and proficiency testing activities.
Coordinate with clients, certification agencies, and internal departments regarding testing requirements and technical clarifications.
Ensure secure laboratory practices and adherence to quality procedures.
Technical Requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelor's /master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/or related technical discipline.
Minimum 3-8 years of experience in electrical appliance testing laboratories, certification bodies, or product compliance organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in NABL accredited laboratories.
Experience in testing household appliances
Exposure to CBTL/IECEE CB Scheme requirements.
Internal Auditor Training on ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
