The Head – Career Services & Alumni Engagement is a senior leadership role responsible for building a robust industry ecosystem and driving high-impact career outcomes for students. This position acts as a strategic bridge between the academic environment and the professional landscape, ensuring that graduates are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the global workforce. This role is central to scaling experiential learning opportunities and fostering deep corporate, startup, and alumni partnerships that ensure students are equipped for professional success upon graduation.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute a comprehensive career services and industry engagement strategy aligned with institutional goals.
- Lead the career services function, ensuring high-quality outcomes in internships, industry-led projects, and professional placements across various disciplines.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on placement rates, compensation benchmarks,
and successful transitions into professional or entrepreneurial roles.
- Convene Industry Advisory Committees, bringing together industry leaders and academic faculty to ensure program outcomes remain aligned with current industry requirements.
Industry Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with corporations, startups, and innovation hubs to create a solid ecosystem supporting student internships and professional opportunities.
- Facilitate high-value industry collaborations, including live projects and professional partnerships that provide students with tangible industry exposure.
- Represent the institution at premier industry forums, networking events, and employer platforms to promote the talent pool and foster recruitment partnerships.
