PowerBuilder Developer
Role Value Proposition:
We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Developer with solid hands-on expertise in PowerBuilder 2022, along with solid database experience in DB2 and SQL Server.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in application migration projects, and a basic understanding of Java or Mainframes is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using PowerBuilder 2022.
Participate in migration projects, including upgrading legacy PowerBuilder applications to modern versions.
Design, develop, and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and triggers in DB2 and SQL Server.
Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to ensure high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Business Analysts, and DevOps.
Follow and enforce coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
Technical Skills:
5+ years of experience in PowerBuilder development.
Strong hands-on experience with PowerBuilder 2022.
Proven experience in application migration and upgrading projects.
Solid experience working with DB2 & SQL Server databases.
Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic knowledge or experience in Java or Mainframes.
Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Exposure to modernization of legacy applications is a plus.
