We are looking for Propulsion Engineer (Hybrid Systems) to push the boundaries of range and endurance for building our next-generation tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). You will join our core team of engineers who value speed, ownership, and first-principles thinking over corporate functioning.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: B.Tech in Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 2+ years hands-on experience with IC Engines (2-stroke/4-stroke) or High-Voltage EV Power-trains.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion principles, SFC maps, and DC power distribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s (M.S.) focusing on hybrid architectures, powertrains, or energy systems.
Experience tuning Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) systems & automotive ECUs.
Solid grasp of high-voltage (HV) systems, electric motor dynamics, power electronics (inverters/converters), and battery energy storage.
Experience sizing BLDC motors and propellers for UAVs.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Python for energy balance modelling.
Alumni Status: Previous core member of a Formula Student (FSAE), Baja SAE, or a DBF (Design/Build/Fly) team is a massive plus.
