API & Canonical Model Engineer (Senior)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable REST APIs and backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain the Canonical Data Model and Core APIs for enterprise applications.
- Develop Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and API Gateway integrations.
- Build secure read and write APIs using CQRS and distributed system design patterns.
- Implement business rules, eligibility, and personalization services.
- Develop practitioner/admin consoles with role-based access, workflows, and audit capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance, and scalable backend solutions.

Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot microservices development.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.




- Hands-on experience with OpenAPI v3 (Contract-First API Design).
- Experience with API Gateway (Spring Cloud Gateway or similar).
- Robust knowledge of CQRS, Saga, Transactional Outbox, Idempotency, and Distributed Systems.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling.
- Kafka integration experience.
- Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, and Zero Trust Security.
- Experience with React or Angular.
- Experience building enterprise-grade microservices and backend applications.

Good to Have
- Experience designing Enterprise Canonical Data Models.
- Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture experience.
- Rules Engine / Expression Engine implementation.
- Experience with workflow, approval, or audit-based applications.
