We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
CAD Designer
with hands-on experience in
CAM machine operations
and
3D printing
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 2D/3D designs, preparing CAM programs for machining, and operating 3D printers for rapid prototyping and production. The role requires solid technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with the design and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
· Prepare CAM programs/toolpaths for CNC machining using CAM software.
· Operate and monitor CAM/CNC machines to ensure quality production.
· Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers for prototype and production parts.
· Convert CAD models into printable and machinable formats.
· Optimize designs for manufacturability and efficient production.
· Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
· Troubleshoot machine and printing issues and recommend process improvements.
· Coordinate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.
· Maintain design files, machine programs, and production documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
· 2–5 years of experience in CAD design, CAM programming, and CNC machining.
