Designation: Asst. Manager/ Manager C&I; Business Development (Wind Energy)
Location: Mumbai (Travel across India as required)
Department: Business Development – Renewable Energy

Job Purpose

To identify, develop, and secure Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) customers for wind power projects through Open Access and Captive/Group Captive business models. The role involves business development, customer acquisition, PPA negotiations, market intelligence, and coordination with internal teams for successful project execution and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
- Identify potential C&I; customers with significant power consumption and renewable energy requirements.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients across various industries such as manufacturing, cement, steel, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and data centers.
- Generate leads through direct customer engagement, industry networks, consultants, and market intelligence.

Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build solid relationships with key decision-makers,



including CXOs, procurement heads, and energy managers.
- Understand customer energy requirements and propose suitable wind energy solutions.
- Conduct presentations and explain the benefits of renewable energy procurement through Open Access and Captive models.

Commercial & Contract Management
- Lead discussions and negotiations for:
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Captive and Group Captive structures
- Commercial terms and pricing strategies
- Coordinate with legal teams for execution of contracts and transaction documents.

Market Intelligence & Regulatory Analysis
- Monitor state-wise renewable energy policies, Open Access regulations, banking provisions, and transmission charges.
- Track competitors, market trends, REC regulations, and policy developments affecting C&I; renewable business.
- Identify new market opportunities and recommend business strategies.
