Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build and maintain modern web and mobile applications.
- Integrate payment systems, authentication and third-party APIs.
- Work with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in technical architecture and system design.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and founders.
- Contribute ideas that improve the product and engineering processes.
Preferred candidate profile
- 3+ years of Full Stack development experience.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with React and/or React Native.
- Experience with Node.js and backend API development.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
- Understanding of REST APIs and contemporary software architecture.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, banking or payment platforms.
- Familiarity with Australian payment systems (PayID, PayTo, Osko or NPP).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and microservices.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing.
- Understanding of security best practices and authentication (OAuth, JWT, MFA).
