Pollution Control
- Monitor operation and performance of pollution control equipment such as:
- Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP)
- Bag Filters
- Dust Suppression Systems
- Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
- Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
- Ensure stack emissions, ambient air quality, water quality, and noise levels remain within permissible limits.
Environmental Monitoring
- Conduct periodic monitoring of:
- Air emissions
- Water quality
- Ambient air quality
- Noise levels
- Soil quality
- Coordinate testing through NABL-accredited laboratories.
- Analyze monitoring reports and recommend corrective actions.
Waste Management
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, transportation, and disposal of waste.
- Maintain records of hazardous waste generation and disposal.
- Coordinate with authorized recyclers and waste disposal agencies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain all statutory environmental registers and records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual environmental reports.
- Maintain documentation related to:
- Water consumption
- Energy consumption
- Waste generation
- Hazardous waste manifests
- Environmental monitoring reports
- Submit reports to regulatory authorities within stipulated timelines.
Sustainability Initiatives
- Implement water conservation and energy conservation projects.
- Promote waste minimization and recycling initiatives.
- Coordinate tree plantation and green belt development programs.
- Support carbon footprint reduction and sustainability initiatives.
Inspection & Audit
- Conduct environmental inspections and internal audits.
- Assist in ISO 14001 Environmental Management System implementation and surveillance audits.
- Close audit observations through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Training & Awareness
- Conduct environmental awareness programs for employees and contractors.
