Role Description




The Senior Expert role is a full time remote position responsible for leading high-level technical and advisory work in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene. The Senior Expert will design and oversee technical assistance projects, provide strategic guidance to government partners and internal teams, and contribute to policy, program frameworks, and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth sectoral analysis, preparing technical reports and guidelines, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and mentoring project teams and junior staff. The role will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including ministries, state and local governments, development partners, and CSR partners, to ensure evidence-based, inclusive, and sustainable WASH interventions. The Senior Expert will also contribute to proposal development, represent WASH Institute in expert forums, and help strengthen institutional knowledge through research and documentation.
