- Workflow Optimization: Oversee the daily scheduling and routing of vehicles into the service bays to maximize efficiency and minimize customer wait times.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure vehicles are repaired correctly the first time, reducing "comebacks" (vehicles returning for the same issue).
- Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Ensure all shop equipment, diagnostic tools, and lifts are properly maintained, calibrated, and secure for use.
- Inventory & Shop Supplies: Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure necessary parts are available for scheduled repairs and manage shop supply expenses.Role & responsibilities
- Performance Monitoring: Set performance goals, track technician productivity/efficiency, and conduct regular performance reviews.
