Role Description
The Assistant Professor will be a full time, on-site faculty member based in Politics of Chandigarh, with primary responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering lectures, designing and updating course materials, guiding classroom discussions, and assessing student learning through assignments, exams, and projects. The role involves advising and mentoring students,



supervising academic work such as term papers or theses, and maintaining regular office hours. The Assistant Professor is expected to conduct independent and collaborative research, seek publication in peer-reviewed outlets, and apply for research funding where appropriate. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental meetings, serving on academic committees, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in outreach or community-based initiatives aligned with the institution’s mission.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree (preferably a PhD) in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or a closely related discipline.
