Assistant Manager -Workplace & Safety

Purpose

Take ES management responsibility of project construction site. Help the team to hit the final target safely.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead and Develop the ES Function
by building team capability, providing guidance to safety engineers, and strengthening ES competencies across projects.
2. Manage MCRS and ES Governance
while ensuring compliance with company policies, ES regulations, and VPO ES pillar requirements.
3. Support Project Execution and Plant Readiness
through close coordination with operations and transition teams to ensure successful startup and handover.
4. Drive Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance Compliance
by ensuring all requirements, permits, assessments,



and approvals are completed before project commissioning.
5. Champion Contractor Safety Management
through toolbox meetings, contractor audits, certification reviews, safety training, kick-off meetings, and ongoing performance monitoring.
6. Lead ES Reporting and Incident Management
by ensuring timely reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Conduct Risk Assessments and Safety Audits
including daily, weekly, monthly, and specialized audits, hazard identification, JSA participation, and high-risk work permit approvals.
8. Manage Change Control and High-Risk Activities
by monitoring ES change management processes and approving critical permits such as hot work, scaffolding, and hazardous material activities.
9. Coordinate with Regulatory Authorities
including environmental, safety, fire, police, and sanitation departments to secure approvals and main
