Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant Trainee to join our Calicut office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 months of accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the ERP system.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records.
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and assist with GST filing and TDS compliance.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to support audits and financial reporting as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting.
- Working knowledge of GST filing, TDS, and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting software.
- Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
- Solid attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preference:
- Candidates with prior experience in a Tax Office or Tax Consultancy will be given preference.
