The Opportunity

Join our global, high-performing engineering team as a Backend Engineer. You will be at the heart of the Process-Tools organization, driving the evolution of our recent central engineering toolchain. This role is crucial for our "Elefanto" team where you will build the data backbone that connects disparate tools like Jira, Codebeamer, and Splunk into a unified, intelligent system.

Operating within a framework inspired by SFIA, you will not just execute tasks, but take full ownership of your solutions, from concept to delivery. You will collaborate daily with our development team in Germany and key stakeholders across the business, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and Develop Backend Solutions: Design, build, and maintain robust,



scalable backend services using Java and Python to power our "Elefanto" knowledge graph platform and enhance integrations with tools like Jira, Codebeamer, and Splunk.
- Drive Data Integration & Streaming: Engineer high-performance data pipelines using Apache Kafka. Implement and optimize producers and consumers to ensure reliable, real-time data flow that underpins our entire tool ecosystem.
- Master Semantic Web Technologies: Utilize your expertise in SPARQL, GraphQL, and RML to create sophisticated data models, mappings, and APIs. You will be responsible for transforming data from various sources into our central, tool-agnostic ontology.
- Foster Global Collaboration & Agile Excellence: Partner closely with our development team in Germany and stakeholders like Process Architects to define requirements, design innovative features, and ensure solutions meet concrete business needs.
