AWS Cloud Operations Engineer (L3)

Job Responsibilities
- Provide L3 support for AWS cloud infrastructure in a 24x7 support environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high system availability.
- Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
- Manage and support AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Systems Manager (SSM).
- Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure enhancement activities.
- Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
- Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation (preferred).
- Work with application, network, security, and DevOps teams for production support.
- Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change,



Problem, and Service Request Management.
- Maintain operational documents and SOPs.
- Coordinate with managed service providers and internal teams for issue resolution.

Required Skills
- 5–6 years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations/Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, Auto Scaling, SSM).
- Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery.
- Basic knowledge of Linux administration.
- Experience with scripting (Shell/Bash/PowerShell/Python).
- Basic understanding of Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancer, Security Groups).
- Valuable understanding of ITIL Service Operations.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
