Job Summary
The Assistant Estimation Engineer supports the estimation and tendering activities for electrical panel board projects. The role involves reviewing customer requirements, preparing cost estimates, generating bills of materials, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review RFQs (Request for Quotations), tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates for:
- LT Panels
- PCC Panels
- MCC Panels
- APFC Panels
- Control Panels
- Distribution Boards
- PLC & Automation Panels
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) based on project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from component suppliers and vendors.
- Calculate material, labor, testing, packing, transportation, and overhead costs.
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and sales teams for accurate costing.
- Maintain estimation records, cost databases, and supplier pricing information.
- Participate in technical discussions and clarifications with customers when required.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 12 years of experience in electrical panel board estimation, design, or tendering.
- Freshers with robust electrical knowledge may also be considered.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and control panels.
