Job Summary

The Assistant Manager/Manager (QS) is responsible for managing project estimation, quantity surveying, budgeting, planning, cost control, and project monitoring from pre-construction through project completion. The role involves preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, project schedules, monitoring project progress, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining quality and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Estimation
- Study approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project approval documents.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from approved construction drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, and external development works.
- Perform detailed rate analysis for all construction activities.
- Estimate material, labour, equipment, and subcontract costs.
- Prepare project budgets, cost summaries, and cash flow projections.
- Review and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) before issuing work orders.




- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.

Procurement & Vendor Management
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material sourcing and subcontractor engagement.
- Assist in vendor selection and commercial evaluation.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials based on project schedules.

Planning & Project Monitoring
- Prepare comprehensive project schedules using appropriate planning tools.
- Monitor daily site progress against approved project schedules.
- Update and track project progress through Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports.
- Verify daily labour reports and update project monitoring systems.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Review manpower, machinery, and material deployment in line with project requirements.
