Test Engineer (Protection System) will be responsible for testing of Control and Relay panels used for various voltage levels in India and abroad for different applications. The incumbent will be responsible for different project phases like understanding client requirement, project specific documents, configuration of numerical relays, testing, and customer inspection (FAT) in factory. Support to Project Management / Engineering / Commissioning team for smooth execution of the project.
Key Technical Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge & understanding on wiring schematic drawings
- Understanding of Power System Protection philosophy & applications
- Hands-on experience in configuration of Numerical IEDs (Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider)
- Hands-on experience on test kits – OMICRON, DOBLE, Megger
- Experience in integration of Numerical IEDs with Substation Automation System (SAS)
- Understanding of client requirements / technical specifications
Substation Automation & Digital Technologies
- Basic knowledge of Substation Automation & Communication Protocols:
- SNMP, SNTP, Modbus
- IEC 60870-5-103
- IEC 61850
- IEC 60870-5-101
- IEC 60870-5-104
- Basic concepts of Digital Substation
Tools & Skilled Skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving
- Team player, agile, resilient, sincere
- Willingness to learn new technologies and build knowledge base
