We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Safety Officer to manage and enforce all Health, Safety, and Setting (HSE) protocols for our Entry/Exit station buildings construction package for the Kochi Metro Rail Project.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a zero-incident work environment, ensuring strict compliance with the safety manuals of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) under the direct supervision of the General Consultant, SYSTRA.
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce the project-specific HSE plan across all structural execution work fronts, including excavation, reinforcement fabrication, formwork erection, and concrete pours.
- Interface with SYSTRA safety auditors and KMRL officials during routine site inspections. Address safety observations, implement corrective measures, and ensure zero safety non-compliance flags.
- Manage the site’s Permit to Work (PTW) system for hazardous operations (e.g., working at heights, heavy structural lifts,
confined spaces, and night-shift execution). Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) with site supervisors and labour crews.
- Maintain comprehensive safety logs, induction registers, scaffolding fitness checklists, crane/lifting tool test certificates, and prepare weekly/monthly HSE reports for consultant submission.
