Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services using
Python
for high-traffic B2C applications.
- Design, develop, and optimize REST APIs and backend systems following clean architecture and best engineering practices.
- Develop and ship
AI/ML-powered features
, with exposure to
Agentic AI
being a strong advantage.
- Integrate backend services with third-party platforms and external systems.
- Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to build customer-focused features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Debug production issues, improve system reliability, and continuously optimize application performance.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience:
3+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience using
Python
, building production-grade systems in a
B2C product environment
.
- AI/ML Exposure:
Minimum
6 months of experience
building and shipping
AI/ML-based features
; experience with
Agentic AI
is highly preferred.
- Backend Fundamentals:
Strong understanding of backend engineering concepts including API development, service-oriented architecture, data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices.
- Backend Development:
Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and backend services, including integrations with external systems.
- Databases:
Solid experience with
SQL and/or NoSQL databases
, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Company Background:
Experience working in
B2C product companies/startups
. Candidates from
Series D+ funded startups or FinTech companies
are highly preferred.
