Role & responsibilities
- Own the BOM (Bill of Materials) for all controller products maintain accurate part numbers, preferred vendors, approved alternates, and pricing for every component
- Manage component procurement: raise purchase orders, track delivery, manage supplier relationships, negotiate payment terms and volume discounts
- Build and maintain a 90-day rolling supply plan aligned to KOEL purchase order visibility and Aimtron production schedule
- Identify and qualify alternate sources for all single-source components eliminating supply concentration risk before it becomes a production stoppage
- Drive quarterly BOM cost reduction: target 58% component cost reduction per year through vendor renegotiation, design-to-cost suggestions, and consolidation
- Manage inventory levels at Aimtron: define safety stock for long-lead-time components, avoid excess inventory that ties up working capital
- Support the Hardware Lead on component selection for new designs provide lead time, cost, and availability data early in the design process




- Track and report supply chain health metrics: lead times by component category, PO on-time delivery from vendors, inventory turns, and obsolescence risk
- Support export compliance in Year 2: country-of-origin documentation, SCOMET compliance for controlled components, and supplier declarations

Preferred candidate profile
- 5-10 years in electronics supply chain, procurement, or materials management
- Hands-on experience managing electronics component procurement knowledge of distributor ecosystems (Arrow, Avnet, Mouser, local distributors), lead time management, and spot purchasing
- Strong understanding of common electronics component categories: MCUs/processors, power ICs, passive components, connectors, sensors
- Experience building and maintaining a BOM in a structured format (Excel, ERP, or PLM system)
- Ability to negotiate with vendors: pricing, payment terms, delivery windows, and quality agreements
- Numerically solid
