THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Software Development Engineer to design and develop critical embedded software components. As part of a core team of embedded specialists, you will work on cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, contributing to the success of next-generation AMD products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain various embedded peripheral drivers for Linux and Baremetal environments.
- Participate in hardware bring-up activities.
- Debug and resolve existing issues while exploring innovative, efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with AMD architecture teams to influence and enhance future product designs.
- Apply data-driven approaches to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging trends in software, hardware,



algorithms, and architecture.
- Build and maintain robust technical relationships with peers and partners.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Expertise in embedded C programming.
- Hands-on experience with Linux kernel, and device driver development.
- Proven track record in hardware/SoC bring-up.
- Solid understanding of silicon domain and hardware-software integration.
- Strong knowledge of ARM architectures.
- Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity and experience with various AI tools for improving productivity and efficiency

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor s or Masters degree in ECE, EEE, or CSE
