We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. The ideal candidate should ensure the safe dispensing of medications, maintain accurate records, and provide quality pharmaceutical care while complying with hospital policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately based on doctors' prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and patient safety.
- Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Receive, check, and arrange medicine stock from suppliers.
- Maintain records of controlled drugs and other statutory registers.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations.
- Prepare daily and monthly stock reports as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Assist during audits, inspections, and accreditation processes (NABH/other regulatory requirements).
- Handle emergency medication requests promptly and accurately.
Qualification
- D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council Registration is mandatory.
Experience
- 0–5 years of experience.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
