Job Purpose:

The position will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the steel wire manufacturing plant, including production, maintenance, quality, safety, cost control, and manpower management. The role involves driving operational excellence, ensuring optimum utilization of resources, achieving production targets, and maintaining compliance with statutory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

1.1 Plan, organize, and oversee daily plant operations to achieve production targets (capacity, quality, yield, efficiency).

1.2 Ensure uninterrupted production with focus on minimal downtime and optimal resource utilization.

1.3 Coordinate with planning and supply chain teams for raw material availability and production scheduling.

2. Quality Assurance

2.1 Ensure adherence to product quality standards and customer specifications (IS/ASTM standards).

2.2 Implement and maintain ISO/TS/Other relevant quality management systems.





2.3 Collaborate with QA/QC teams to identify and eliminate process defects and deviations.

3. Maintenance & Asset Management

3.1 Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all machinery

3.2 Ensure maximum equipment uptime and cost-effective maintenance practices.

4. Cost Control & Efficiency

4.1 Monitor and control manufacturing costs (material, energy, manpower, consumables).

4.2 Drive initiatives for productivity improvement, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.

4.3 Prepare and manage the annual plant budget.

5. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) & Kaizen

5.1 Ensure a protected and compliant workplace through strict adherence to EHS norms.

5.2 Promote a safety-first culture and conduct regular audits, trainings, and emergency drills.

5.3 Promote Suggestion culture and Kaizen

6. People Management

6.1 Lead and develop a team of production, maintenance, and quality professionals.
