Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the SERB_CEG funded project for the School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.

Title of the Project : DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE MODEL FOR THE LIFETIME ESTIMATION OF THERMAL BARRIER COATING SYSTEMS.

Qualification :

B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech/M.E. in CAD/CAM, machine design/aerospace engineering, or related engineering field with a minimum of one year of experience in FEM for thermal cyclic analysis.

Must have an excellent academic record with greater than 7.5 CGPA or 75% marks in B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from a reputed engineering college or institute.

(GATE score will be considered an added advantage)

Describe skills Knowledge of Fracture Mechanics, ABAQUS-SIMULIA (XFEM), MATLAB and PYTHON programming on life time estimation of coating technologies is essential.





(Publications in these above fields and excellent written and oral communication skills will be preferable)

Stipend :

Rs. 40,000/- for the NON-GATE and Rs. 45,000/- for the GATE QUALIFIED Candidates (Including HRA).

Not exceeding 30 years
