To design and validate pressure equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and reactors in compliance with relevant international codes, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review design calculations for pressure vessels and heat exchangers as per PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445, EN 13480, or relevant international standards.
• Develop mechanical design & drawings in coordination with drafting and detailing teams.
• Ensure design compliance with customer specifications, ASME, TEMA, and IS standards.
• Support proposal and estimation teams by providing design outputs.
• Participate in design reviews and support troubleshooting during fabrication stages
.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 6- 12 years of relevant experience in design of pressure vessels / heat exchangers under PED / ASME / EN standards.
• Hands-on experience in design software like PV Elite, CodeCalc, Compress, or AutoPIPE.
• Knowledge of material selection, welding requirements, and manufacturing processes for heavy fabrication.
