Your Impact
As a Backend Software Engineer, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Build current and exciting components/frameworks for distributed filesystems in an ever-growing and evolving market technology to provide scale and efficiency
- Develop high-quality, production-ready code used by millions of users of our cloud platform
- Build efficient components/algorithms on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud distributed filesystem environment
- Code review, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to the team
Required Skills
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Mastery of programming language(s) and platforms
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages: Java, Python
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL / Trino)
- Experience developing SaaS products over public cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale
- Proficiency in queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution
- Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Strong grasp of software development best practices with demonstrated leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Big Data / ML and Amazon S3
- Hands-on experience with streaming technologies like Kafka
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
