Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager supports our mission to strengthen the presence and utilisation of Malaysian palm oil across South India.

Based in Chennai, the role is responsible for supporting regional market development initiatives, gathering and analysing market intelligence, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and assisting in the implementation of promotional and trade facilitation programmes within the region.

Working closely with the Regional Manager and Our Headquarters, the Assistant Manager will contribute towards identifying market opportunities, monitoring industry developments, supporting strategic engagements, and enhancing communication efforts that promote Malaysian palm oil and palm-based products throughout the South India market.





Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development and execution of Our India's marketing and promotional strategies in line with the organisation's objectives.

• Building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including importers, manufacturers, industry associations, government agencies, NGOs, media representatives, and other relevant industry players.

• Facilitating trade opportunities and supporting Malaysian industry members through stakeholder engagement, market development initiatives, and business networking activities.

• Monitoring market developments and preparing market intelligence reports, industry analyses, stakeholder feedback reports, and other documentation to support Our decision-making process.

• Identifying emerging industry issues, market challenges, and policy developments that may impact the Malaysian palm oil sector and providing timely updates and
