Software Engineer — AffEx Healthcare (Pune, On-site)

What We're Building

AffEx Healthcare builds clinic management software used by doctors and healthcare providers across India. Our platform handles patient records, consultations, prescriptions, and vitals — with a mobile-first, offline-capable architecture so clinics work even without reliable internet. We integrate with medical devices, sync data across clinic and cloud, and are actively building with AI-assisted workflows.

How We Work
- Small, senior team — you will not be one of fifty engineers on a ticket queue.
- AI-assisted development (Claude Code) is a first-class part of our workflow, not an afterthought.
- We build in public sprints with clear ownership — no ambiguous "projects."
- You will own features end-to-end: design, build, ship, and support.

What You'll Work On
- Backend services in NestJS with PostgreSQL (Prisma ORM)
- Frontend interfaces in Next.js + React, including mobile builds via Capacitor
- Offline-first sync between mobile apps and cloud/local servers
- Python scripts for data processing, migrations,



and tooling
- Device integrations, infrastructure, and whatever else the product needs — small team means broad scope

Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience (strict minimum)
- Robust proficiency in Node.js + NestJS
- Frontend experience with Next.js + React
- Solid command of PostgreSQL
- Comfortable writing Python for scripts, data processing, or tooling
- Hands-on experience (or strong willingness to learn) Claude Code or similar AI dev tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Clear communicator who can collaborate across a small team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Good to Have
- Experience with FHIR / ABDM or healthcare data standards
- Familiarity with offline-first architectures (PowerSync, ElectricSQL, or similar)
- Docker, nginx, Linux server administration
- BLE / medical
