Key Responsibilities
Manage Azure operational reliability, uptime, and platform readiness
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation
Implement Azure governance using Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM, tagging, and compliance standards
Drive FinOps initiatives including cloud cost optimization, rightsizing, reservations, and savings plans
Operate and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments
Develop operational runbooks, SOPs, and enforce structured change management
Must-Have Skills
6+ years of hands-on Azure infrastructure and operations experience
Azure Governance & Security (Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM)
Incident Management & Operational Excellence
Solid understanding of Cloud Operations, distinct from DevOps and Development
FinOps and cloud cost optimization
AKS Operations and Kubernetes administration
Azure Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900 (or equivalent knowledge)
Good to Have
PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python scripting
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Datadog
Microsoft Defender for Cloud
ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
Basic Azure DevOps knowledge (pipelines, service connections, permissions)
ITIL 4 Certification
