Main Responsibilities
- Read engineering drawings and job instructions.
- Set up CNC turning or milling machines.
- Install tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Set tool offsets and work offsets.
- Load and verify CNC programs.
- Perform first-off inspection using measuring instruments.
- Adjust machining parameters to maintain quality.
- Troubleshoot setup problems.
- Follow safety procedures and production schedules.
Skills Required
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code basics.
- Experience with measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, dial indicator).
- Understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Robust problem-solving and attention to detail.
