We're building Mungo Labs: the tamper-evident record of what your AI systems actually did, searchable for investigations, monitored for violations, and exportable as auditor-ready compliance evidence. One data plane that both compliance and security query. We're building for companies in regulated mid-market and enterprises, solving a problem that's getting more urgent every day.

The Role

As Founding Head of AI Governance & Security, alongside the Product/GTM and CTO founders, you'll own how we turn AI governance and security from a cost center into a business proposition for customers: AI Safety-as-a-Service. You are equal parts domain expert, product shaper, and trusted voice in front of the CISOs and compliance leaders we sell to. You'll be in customer conversations, in the roadmap, and in the weeds.

What you'll own




- Voice of the buyer into product. Sit with CISOs, GRC leads, Legal, privacy, and procurement teams; extract real pain and workflows; translate them into features, guardrails, and audit trails that ship.
- Productizing governance. Define the strategy for AI Safety-as-a-Service. Turning governance and evidence workflows into a saleable product for mid-market and enterprise.
- Regulatory translation. Turn emerging frameworks (EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, SOC 2, RBI/DPDP for BFSI) into implementable controls and verifiable audit evidence.
- Threat & risk coverage. Shape how we detect and mitigate the real AI risks: prompt injection, PII leakage, jailbreaks, model drift, hallucinations, as monitored, evidenced controls.
