Role & responsibilities
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments.
- Experience in polyester and polyurethane chemistry.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory batch handling.
- Knowledge of analytical testing such as Acid Value, Isocyanate Content, and Hydroxyl Value
measurements.
- Work on method development, validation, and standardization for product analysis.
- Create and demonstrate testing methods related to raw materials (RMs) using instruments at the innovation center.
- Conduct research on new formulations and applications for Polyurethane and polyester chemistry.
- Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and product managers to develop and optimize 2component adhesive products.
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials and finished products.
- Analyze specialty chemical samples received from the plant and share monthly reports with respective plants and HOD.
- Randomly test raw materials representative of plant samples.
- Coordinate with external labs for testing emulsions developed in R&D.;
- Align test methods across all plant locations and maintain repeatability and reproducibility (R&R;).
- Set up current analytical instruments for new product development.
- Identify deviations in customer complaint samples compared to standard samples through analytical methods.
- Perform real-world application testing to ensure adhesives meet quality and performance standards.
