Role & responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide counselling to patients regarding the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness based on patients' health conditions and medication profiles.
- Maintain and manage inventory, including medication storage and control of expiration dates.
- Monitor the effectiveness of medication therapy and make recommendations to healthcare providers as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Participate in patient education and health promotion programs.
- Keep up-to-date with recent medications, treatment protocols, and pharmacy practices.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license to practice in the region.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
