Deputy Manager- Revenue Assurance
Location: Gurugram
Role Overview
Tracking, analyzing, and reporting a company's income, ensuring it is recognized accurately and in compliance with accounting standards. Manage financial transactions related to revenue, ensuring proper recording and compliance with ASC 606.
Responsibilities
-Responsible for month end and year end close activities including preparation of revenue journal entries, account reconciliations of revenue and deferred revenue accounts
- Perform contract review and analysis relating to new sales to ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with ASC 606
- Ensuring that the appropriate chargeable records are generated, metered correctly and appear correctly on end customer billing
- Acting as a Revenue Assurance Subject Matter Expert on projects / initiatives that could impact the end to end billing architecture or existing RA controls
- Performing regular reconciliation and analysis of revenue streams; documenting revenue flows across critical functions and monitoring the same
- Managing any issue that potentially impacts revenues, from identification to quantification and resolution
- Maintain accuracy & hygiene of Revenue accrual process, track timely billing
- Ensure ongoing validation of Master data in the system used for Revenue recognition and customer billing purposes
- Maintain revenue trackers to provide complete visibility and control over transactions
Process Improvement
-Drive automation and system improvements
- Develop and implement reporting tools and standards
- Ensure adherence to governance, corporate policies, and financial guidelines
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary analyses and documentation
Skill Set & Qualifications
- Master's or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting
- 4to8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the IT services industry
-High proficiency in Excel and other financial systems
- Robust analytical, communication, and problem-solving skill
