Job Description for Electrical Maintenance

Position: Engineer

Company: Leading Japanese MNC Company

Industry: Automotive Components, Aluminium Die-Casting & Industrial Components.

Location: Sri City

Roles & Responsibilities:

Electrical Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical equipment.
- Maintain CNC machines, die-casting machines, machining centers, hydraulic equipment, and automation systems.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and maximum equipment availability.

Power Distribution & Utilities
- Maintain HT/LT electrical systems.
- Monitor transformers, LT panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, bus ducts, and switchgear.
- Maintain DG sets, UPS systems, compressors, air dryers, and industrial cooling systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to production lines.

PLC & Automation
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
- Diagnose faults in PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, relays, and electrical control circuits.
- Support automation improvements to enhance productivity.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance




- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment health using predictive maintenance techniques.
- Reduce unplanned machine breakdowns through planned maintenance activities.

Breakdown Maintenance
- Attend electrical breakdowns immediately.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Restore machines safely within the target response time.
- Implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability.
- Implement Kaizen, TPM, and Lean Maintenance initiatives.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through maintenance improvements.

Spare Parts Management
- Maintain critical electrical spare inventory.
- Raise purchase requisitions for electrical consumables and spare parts.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement to ensure spare availability.
