Role: Domain Specialist – Assessment & Awarding

Desired Experience : 10+ yrs

Location: New Delhi

Required Technical Skill Set

Strong understanding of Educational Assessment domain (Awarding / Grading processes)

Knowledge of raw score scaled score (grade) transformation mechanisms

Understanding of criteria-referenced vs norm-referenced scoring

Exposure to psychometric principles (normal distribution, statistical modeling, sampling)

Experience in data aggregation & analysis (candidate marks, historical data, metadata)

Awareness of grade boundary setting and standardization processes

Ability to interpret assessment workflows and evaluation lifecycle

Familiarity with data tools / statistical platforms (R / Python / SAS – conceptual level)

Must-Have

Strong understanding of assessment & awarding lifecycle (not generic K12/HE)

Experience in education assessment / examination boards / evaluation systems

Experience with grading systems used by boards (WJEC, AQA, Pearson, etc.)

Knowledge of statistical concepts (normal distribution, sampling, scaling)





Ability to support data-driven decision-making & analysis

Solid stakeholder communication (business + evaluation bodies)

Exposure to workflow systems for evaluation/review processes

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Provide end-to-end expertise in assessment and awarding processes

Translate raw marks into standardized grades using domain understanding

Support analysis of grading patterns and standardization across exam series

Work closely with stakeholders on grade boundary setting and validation

Interpret and support statistical outputs from psychometric processes

Enable data aggregation, validation, and insight generation

Act as a bridge between domain experts (examiners) and technical teams

Contribute to workflow design for awarding, review, and approval stages

Ensure alignment with industry standards in assessment reliability and fairness

Identify improvements in grading accuracy,
