Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical and precise CNC Fixture Design Engineer to engineer high-quality workholding systems. Your core mission will be to interpret 3D product specifications and transform them into operational mechanical solutions that prevent part deflection, optimize tool path travel, and slash production cycle times. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, and shop floor machinists to streamline output for automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics components.

Key Responsibilities




- Workholding Conceptualisation: Design custom manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic jigs, fixtures, and gauges to support multi-axis CNC machine setups.
- 3D Modelling & Assembly: Create highly complex 3D models and exact 2D assembly drawings utilizing software like SolidWorks, Catia V5.
- Geometric Control Application: Apply expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) per ASME Y14.5 standards to eliminate machining deviations.
- Thematic System Layout: Deploy the 3-2-1 locating principle to constrain all six degrees of mechanical freedom without warping delicate parts.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Collaborate with raw metal fabricators to minimize workholding weight, lower costs, and maximize clearance for CNC tool configurations.
- BOM Management: Generate complete Bills of Materials (BOMs), choosing appropriate raw steels, toggle clamps, pins, and standard component hardw
