MeshDefend is Looking for:
MeshDefend is an early-stage VC-funded startup building an AI-Native Agentic Operating System for Enterprise Data Infrastructure. We are creating AI Agents to make Data Infrastructure Intelligent, Autonomous and Secure. Our founding team is composed of seasoned technologists and inventors with a track record of building global product portfolios valued in the billions.

We are looking for a
Lead AI Engineer
who will technically anchor our team of AI engineers — owning production agentic systems end-to-end, setting technical direction, and reducing founder bandwidth on day-to-day AI architecture decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design,



build, and iterate on complex autonomous AI agents — from prototype to production
- Architect multi-agent workflows involving planning, reasoning, tool usage, memory, and feedback loops
- Select, train, fine-tune, and evaluate LLMs/SLMs for real-world constraints such as latency, cost, and robustness
- Implement and operate RAG systems (vectorised RAG preferred) in production environments
- Use modern agent frameworks — LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent
- Establish AI guardrails, AI policy compliance, and responsible deployment practices
- Contribute to AI Ops foundations including deployment pipelines, monitoring, and model governance
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 6 AI engineers
- Partner with Data Engineers and product teams to translate user problems into AI-driven solutions
