Designation: Assistant Professor

Job Specification:

A. Qualification (As per National Medical Commission NMC norms)
- MD / MS / DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized institution
- Fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by NMC for the post of Assistant Professor
- Valid registration with the appropriate State / National Medical Council

B. Experience
- Teaching experience as prescribed by NMC norms for the post of Assistant Professor
- Adequate clinical experience in the concerned specialty
- Demonstrated competence in patient care, teaching, and academic activities

C. Skills and Competencies
- Sound clinical knowledge and procedural skills relevant to the specialty
- Effective teaching and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare and academic environment
- Basic understanding of research methodology, ethics, and quality standards
- Familiarity with NABH standards and hospital policies (desirable)

Job Description:

The Assistant Professor is responsible for delivering quality clinical care, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supporting research activities, and assisting in departmental administration. The role ensures adherence to NMC regulations patient care standards, and the policies of the Medical College and the affiliated Teaching Hospital functioning under a University / Deemed-to-be University framework.
