About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our tool room team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of mould components and finished moulds by conducting inspections, maintaining quality records, and coordinating with design and manufacturing teams
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect machined components as per engineering drawings.
- Perform in-process and final inspection of Mould components and assemblies.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, and CMM (preferred).
- Interpret 2D drawings and GD&T; requirements.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with production.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Support trial Mould inspections and final dispatch quality checks.
Required Skills
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Tool Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- 0-3 years of experience in a tool room or plastic injection Mould manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and measurement techniques.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CMM operation will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in injection Mould manufacturing.
- Understanding of Mould components, machining processes, heat treatment, and fitting operations.
