Role & responsibilities:
- Responsible for organising and Supervising purchasing functions of projects and capital purchases of the company
- Understanding Project Costing and Budgeting,
- Preparation of RFQs to suppliers - Manufacturing, Service and BOs
- Supplier negotiations, Quality Management,
- Ensuring timely delivery to meet the project deadlines,
- Stores and inventory Management,
- MIS reporting,
- Valuable knowledge of MS Office and related tools,
- identification of quality improvement and cost saving opportunities
- SAP ERP skills

Preferred candidate profile:
- At least 15 years hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive / Automation companies in a purchasing role.
- Capable of Handling a 20~30 member team.
- Hands-on e8perience in a purchasing role is a must
- -Thorough knowledge and experience on automation fixturing and assemblies
- Should have a good network of automation suppliers both manufacturing and Bought outs across various cities in India




- Should possess the working knowledge of Rates, Suppliers and business trends
- Uphold and imbibe the company's values at all times
- Effective delegation and communication with all the reportees
- Timely decision making
- Selection of and interaction with the Vendors to meet project requirement
- Focus on Standardisation and optimization of all activities and processes related to the team
- Bring in Automation for Offline activities.
- Ensure Proper SOPs and Thorough adherence to Check Sheets
- Kaizen abilities
- Trouble-shooting various challenging situations
- Succession Planning

Qualification:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education, MBA - Operations management
- Additional certifications in Negotiation skills, Quality management, inventory management and People management will be added advantage
