Role Description
This is a contractual role with a duration of up to six months (negotiable).
The ESG & Carbon Market Intern will support climate-focused projects by analyzing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, evaluating carbon market opportunities, and contributing to decarbonization strategies for clients across multiple sectors.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and policy research on carbon credits and compliance schemes, modeling emission reduction scenarios, and preparing explicit, data-driven reports and presentations for internal teams and clients. The specialist will work with cross-functional stakeholders to design carbon footprint assessments, support LCA-related analysis, CBAM and assess the feasibility of participation in voluntary and compliance carbon markets. The role also involves monitoring regulatory developments, supporting client engagement with carbon registries and standards, and helping structure carbon transactions and offset strategies.
The role involves collaborating with the Founder on case studies and assisting in creating innovative solutions to address sustainability challenges for industry.
This is a contract position based in Gurugram in a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with work-from-home flexibility.
