Role Overview

Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer (Typesetting & Artworking) is a creative role with a production backbone. You will take Oxford Global’s brands and visual identities and apply them, consistently and imaginatively, across a wide range of collateral for a portfolio of events across the life sciences: brochures, programmes, event materials, marketing assets, certificates, floorplans, infographics and presentations.

We are looking for designers who bring ideas. Much of the work sits within established brand frameworks, but those frameworks need interpreting: new formats to invent, current content to give shape to, and tired layouts to rethink. You will be expected to look at a piece of collateral and see how it could be better, not just how to reproduce it.

Equally, this is detail-critical work at volume. Materials must be accurate, print-ready and coherent with everything else the brand puts out. The role rewards people who can hold both the creative instinct and the craft discipline, and who understand that consistency across a family of assets is itself a design skill.

Much of the calendar is cyclical: taking a document from one edition of an event and rolling it forward to the next. That means establishing what must change, what can be sourced independently and what needs to be requested, while keeping the file structure sound for whoever picks it up next. Design at Oxford Global is a team effort, and files are built to be shared.

Reporting to the Website & Digital Design Manager, the role also contributes to how the design function works: proposing templates, scripts and automation that make repeat outputs faster, and freeing the team’s time for the work that genuinely needs a designer’s eye.

Key Responsibilities

Typesetting & Artworking (InDesign)

• Typeset and artwork brochures, event programmes, agendas, delegate materials and other long-form print and digital documents.

• Prepare print-ready files to specification, covering bleed, colour pro
