Nxtra by Airtel Africa is expanding its hyperscale data centre footprint and is looking for a
Jr. Mechanical & HSD Engineer
to support the design and delivery of mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

The role will support end-to-end engineering and execution of hyperscale data centre projects, with a solid focus on mechanical systems and HSD/DG infrastructure. The incumbent will work closely with design consultants, project teams, and vendors to ensure high-quality and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Support design review and execution of mechanical systems for hyperscale data centres
- Assist in delivery of HVAC, cooling, DG, fuel storage & HSD handling systems
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders




- Ensure compliance with design standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
- Participate in technical evaluations and vendor coordination

Experience & Qualifications
- Total experience:
10 years
- Minimum 3 years
of direct data centre experience
- Exposure to
design and delivery of hyperscale data centre projects
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong understanding of data centre mechanical infrastructure and fuel systems
