Job Title: PHE/FPS Design Engineer Industry: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Location: Bangalore Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 2-3Year Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Diploma Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP team as a PHE (Public Health Engineering) / FPS (Fire Protection Systems) Engineer. The candidate will assist in design support, site supervision, and execution of plumbing and fire protection systems for various projects.
- Project Site Support: Assist in installation and execution of PHE and fire protection systems at project sites; Support senior engineers in daily site activities and coordination; Monitor work progress and report status updates
- Drawings Documentation: Read and understand basic engineering drawings (PID, layout drawings); Assist in preparation of shop drawings (if required); Maintain site records, checklists, and progress reports
- Quality Safety:
Ensure work is executed as per industry standards and project specifications; Follow safety guidelines and ensure protected work practices at site; Identify basic issues and escalate to seniors promptly
- Coordination: Work closely with other MEP teams (Electrical, HVAC); Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and vendors; Support in material handling, inspection, and verification
- Maintenance Testing: Assist in testing and commissioning of plumbing and fire systems; Support in troubleshooting basic issues in pipelines, pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, etc.
Required Skills: Basic knowledge of Plumbing Fire Fighting Systems Understanding of AutoCAD (preferred but not mandatory) Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and work on-site Basic MS Excel/Word knowledge
Key Systems Exposure: Water supply drainage systems Fire hydrant sprinkler systems Pump rooms and piping networks
Preferred Candidate Profile: Diploma Mechanical, BE. Mechanical, graduates or with up to 2-3year experience Enthusiastic, adaptable, and quick learner
