ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Process Engineering to lead process development, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across SMT, Wave Soldering, Manual Assembly, Testing, and Final Assembly operations.

The role will focus on improving quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and supporting new product introductions (NPI) in a high-volume EMS manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead process development and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing lines.
- Drive improvements in FPY, OEE, productivity, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
- Support NPI builds, process validation, pilot runs, and production ramp-up activities.
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and DOE methodologies.
- Drive ECN/PCN implementation and process standardization.
- Develop jigs, fixtures, poka-yoke solutions, and automation concepts.
- Improve process yield and reduce scrap,



rework, and customer complaints.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, SCM, and Design teams.
- Monitor process KPIs and mentor engineers and technicians.

Preferred candidate profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in EMS manufacturing and process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SMT, Wave Soldering, Manual Assembly, Testing, and Final Assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience in PFMEA, Control Plans, SOP development, and process validation.
- Proficiency in problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and DOE.
- Experience in NPI, ECN implementation, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
- Solid analytical, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.
